Public transport
If you can’t come by car, the closest place to the venue for arriving by public transport to is Bath, which has a train station and coach stop (20-minute drive from the venue). If you’re coming by plane, Bristol Airport is a 30-minute drive from the venue. We will be able to pick up attendees from either Bath Station or Bristol Airport and give a lift to the venue if you need it- ask us on our Discord server if you want this.
There’s no public transport to the venue itself; the closest bus stop is in Timsbury village 1.3 miles away from the venue, having bus services to Bath and to Bristol.
Taxi services in the area
As Timsbury is quite small, it’s unlike to have Uber, so if you require a taxi you’ll likely need to call one of the local taxi services.
The closest taxi company we’ve found, is ASAP Taxis – their phone number is +44 (0) 7961002199
The second closest taxi companies are Somerset Taxis ( +44 (0) 1761411234 ) and Riverside Taxis ( +44 (0) 1761411894 )
We may also be running a shuttle service using our staff member’s cars between the venue and Bath Spa station / Recreation Ground bus stop – however this is TBD and is not confirmed yet.
Getting here by public transport:
Getting to Bath via Train/Coach
First, if you live outside of the general area of Bath, you’ll need to get to either Bath Spa railway station, or Keynsham railway station, use your preferred train ticket app to find a train from your city to Bath Spa / Keynsham – whichever is cheaper. (Scrimmy personally recommends the Virgin Train Tickets app – as it has built-in split ticketing, a rewards system, and does not charge any booking fees unlike the Trainline – note we’re not sponsored, just trying to save you some money!)
Note: you may be able to save some money by hand splitting your train ticket at Stafford – for example Carlisle -> Bath Spa costs £130 return (with railcard), where-as Carlisle -> Stafford and Stafford -> Bath Spa as separate tickets would only be around £90-100
You may also use National Express coaches if they serve your city, this may be cheaper than the train, but will generally take a lot longer and more awkward timing
Getting here via plane
For those of you coming internationally, or decided to do a domestic flight because it’s cheaper than the train – the closest major airport is Bristol Airport (BRS)
We’ve included a table of major airports and their distance from the venue by public transport and car, as depending on where you’re coming from, you might not be able to fly into Bristol, or it’s much cheaper for you to fly into one of the other airports and worth the extra time travelling.
Please be aware, the times listed below are ESTIMATES based on Google Maps, it may take longer or less time depending on when you travel, and whether you take any breaks along the way.
